Robert Carl Mattingly of Cherry Hill, NJ died on Wednesday, September 18, 2013 at Kennedy Hospital in Stratford, NJ. He was 63. Born in Bristol and raised in Levittown, Mr. Mattingly moved to Michigan where he was an entrepreneur and worked for Ford Motor Company for 30 years before moving to Cherry Hill six years ago. He was a sports enthusiast and particularly loved baseball, especially the Philadelphia Phillies and Detroit Tigers. Robert enjoyed anything outdoors. He also loved traveling, crosswords and trivia. He was a smart man economically and will be lovingly remembered as a devoted and generous father. Robert was the loving father of Michael and Robin. He was the son of Clara V. (Rigby) and the late James F. Mattingly and was the brother of David and his wife Maryann Mattingly and the late James F. Mattingly Jr. He was the uncle of Tyler and Brandon Mattingly. Family and friends are invited to call on Saturday from 12 until 2 p.m. at the James J. Dougherty Funeral Home, Inc., 2200 Trenton Rd., Levittown.
