January 24, 2024 was a very heartbreaking day for us, we all couldn’t bear the news, that the strongest, most loving man had peacefully crossed over and entered through heavens gate. Ronald Edward Duckenfield has become our beautiful angel.
He was born on July 29, 1940. He was a loving son to his parents and a loving brother to all of his siblings. He was a blessed, devoted, loving husband to his wife of 57 years. He was the most loving father to his two daughters. Last but not least he was the best, loving grandfather to all of his grandchildren. As we all say “Poppy is the best”. Ronald really cherished his family, he would do anything in the world for us. As we all cherished and loved him.
As for Ronald’s life, it was filled with lots of love, joy, and laughter, along with many adventures. He served our country in the Air Force. He was a fighting hero, a warrior of true devotion. He was honored and proud to be a veteran.
One thing about Ronald was that he truly cared about his family. It was the most important thing to him. Family time always made him so happy. He always made family time so much fun by playing lots of games, whether it was board games, card games, or even watching tv game shows like family feud or jeopardy. Most of all Ronald loved being a comedian, he would end family time with lots of jokes to make sure everyone would laugh. He loved seeing us all smile. There will be so many great times and memories with him that will be truly missed but never forgotten. He will always be in our hearts.
Burial with full military honors will take place on Friday, February 9, 2024 at 2:00 pm, at Washington Crossing National Cemetery, 830 Highland Avenue, Newtown, PA. Please be in line at the main office no later than 1:45 pm.
