Ruth Castelberg Ruth Castelberg died surrounded by her loving family on Saturday, October 5, 2013 at Abington Memorial Hospital, Abington. She was 85. Born in Philadelphia, and raised in Upper Darby, Mrs. Castelberg was a graduate and Valedictorian of Upper Darby High School, Class of 1946. She was an original homeowner in Middletown Township and was active in the founding of the Levittown Western Little League. Mrs. Castelberg enjoyed traveling, gardening and reading, however her primary love in her life was that of her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. Beloved wife of the late William Sr., Mrs. Castelberg is survived by her loving and devoted children, William Jr. (Barbara Ann) of Bensalem, Susan Adamusko (Joseph N.) of Warwick, Robin Howe (Charles) of Bensalem and James (Kristin Marie) of Newtown. She was the proud grandmother of Ashley Ann, William III, Daniel Ryan, Timothy Matthew, Jenna Marie and James Michael; great grandmother of Delanie and Piper; and sister of James and Harry Mervin of Levittown. Family and friends are invited to attend her viewing on Thursday from 9:30 until 11:00 at the James J. Dougherty Funeral Home, Inc., 2200 Trenton Road, Levittown where her funeral service will be held at 11:00. Interment will be held privately.
