

Sally was born on December 8, 1932 to Thomas and Flora (Dixey) Prendergast in Marblehead, MA. She grew up in Lynn, MA, where she graduated from Saint Mary High School, and attended Salem State College.
She worked as the administrative assistant to the director of Pupil Services in the Pennsbury School District.
She was a very independent and strong willed woman and enjoyed being with her family.
Sally loved to challenge her brain with crossword puzzles, Scrabble, and Bridge and was given the opportunity to share her skills with her Lower Makefield senior group. She also enjoyed the "West Wing", the Four Tenors, LL Divo and watching the Mummers Parade every New Year's Day.
Beloved wife of the late Palmer "Gary" Garofano, Mrs. Garofano was the loving mother of Thomas M. Garofano (Marie), Elizabeth "Betsy" (Richard) Baxter, Kathleen Garofano and Virginia "Jini" (Charles) Davis.
She is the devoted Nona of Marissa Garofano, Kaitlin Garofano, Justin Baxter (Jennifer), Erin Baxter, Ellen Bullene (Patrick), Christopher Davis (Jennifer), Stacey Panfil (Jordan) and great Nona of Kaine, Phoebe, Maverick, Mabel, Brayden, Connor, MacKenzie, Josephine and Baby Justin; dear sister of Thomas Prendergast (Ann), Stephen Prendergast (Vickie) and Mark Prendergast; and dear friend and companion of Robert Schultz.
Mrs. Garofano will also be sadly missed by her loving nieces and nephews and many friends she met along her journey.
She was predeceased by siblings, Michael Prendergast, Ellen Carr and Penny Stanley.
Family and friends are invited to call on Wednesday, March 3, 2021, from 6:00 until 7:00 pm at the James J. Dougherty Funeral Home, Inc., 2200 Trenton Road, Levittown, where her funeral service will be held at 7:00 pm. Interment will be held privately.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the charity of donor's choice.
