Sarah May Merz Sarah May Merz died on Wednesday, October 12, 2011 at Saint Mary Medical Center, Langhorne after a courageous battle with cancer. She was 66. Born in Bristol, and formerly of Bristol Boro, she was a resident of Levittown for 39 years. A graduate of Bristol High School and the Levittown Beauty Academy, Mrs. Merz was a hair stylist for over 50 years working in many salons throughout Levittown. She enjoyed shopping and spending time at the shore, especially times spent on her boat. Flowers were a passion of Sarah's. However, her greatest enjoyment was the time spent with her grandchildren. Beloved wife of 48 years to Frank, Sarah was the loving mother of Frank (Patricia) of Levittown and Christopher (Natalie) of Richboro. She was the devoted grandmother of Joseph, Joshua, James, Ava and Ian and the sister of Al and Arthur Mancuso. She will also be sadly missed by her nieces, Donna, Debbie and Karen and her beloved sister-in-law, Patricia. Family and friends are invited to call on Monday, 6:00 until 8:00 pm and on Tuesday, 9:30 until 10:30 am at the James J. Dougherty Funeral Home, Inc., 2200 Trenton Road, Levittown, where her Funeral Service will be held on Tuesday at 10:30 am. Interment will be held privately.
