She was a pillar within her family, often described as the light and warmth in every room she entered. Shaun was not only a devoted mother but also a surrogate mother to her children's friends and a sought-after guide, impacting many lives with her generous and loving nature.

Shaun's home was the heart of her world, serving as a sanctuary, chow hall, and a vibrant gathering space. It reflected her personality with its welcoming festive decor and array of windchimes. She took immense pride in her home, which was always filled with her favorite souls and the aromas of her treasured candle collection. Her gentle disposition had a knack for attracting the most vulnerable of creatures.

She loved sharing meals or a baked good with friends and family. These gatherings were not just about food but were extensions of her nurturing love, strengthening the bonds between those she cherished.

Shaun is survived by her husband, Stephen Lewan, whom she met in sixth grade and who has been the love of her life ever since. Their beautiful journey together brought forth two sons, Stephen Jr. and Brian, who continue her legacy of kindness and compassion. She also leaves behind her brothers, Jim Ely and Dean Ely (Patty Ann).

Shaun's life was a testament to the power of love and the importance of family, and her absence will be deeply felt by all who knew her. Her legacy will continue to inspire and influence everyone she touched, ensuring that her light will never fade.
