Beloved Sue, Mom, Sister Suzy, “Sue Sue”, “GSue” blessed us by touching lives for 76 years. Historians use the word “boom” to describe a lot of things about the 50’s including the end of World War II “baby boom” influenced by the future promise of peace and prosperity. This boom began in 1946 and Sue joined the record number of 3.4 million babies born in the United States on December 6th in Philadelphia. She grew up on Van Kirk Street in Philadelphia and made the big suburban move to the Levitt Jubilee home of Cobalt Ridge in Levittown. Her youth in the 50’s and 60’s shaped her spirit of life to express gratitude, acts of kindness and joy for music and dance. And dancing she did!
She graduated in 1964 from Bishop Egan High School and joined the workforce as a secretary at the manufacturer Budd Company where her father worked. Soon after, she married Joe Rafferty in 1967 and together they created a family as she became the mother of Annie and Joey Rafferty. With the radio on daily for dancing along with living room disco dancing in the 70’s, Sue created a family home full of love and dancing that continued for decades.
Sue cared for the Village of Pennbrook residents and the 722 unit commercial property for over 30 years starting as a Commercial Property Janitor/Cleaner to the Leasing Consulting position she held today.
Sue was a champion of an active healthy lifestyle. She mixed her fitness hobbies at Elaine Powers, Bally’s Fitness, LA Fitness, Kundalini Yoga at the Khalsa Clinic and Planet Fitness with her entrepreneurial spirit as an Aloe Vera Consultant in the 80’s and earned a Health Coaching certificate in 2018 from The Institute for Integrative Nutrition (INN), a 30 year pioneer in the health coaching profession.
Sue is predeceased by her parents William and Helen Breeman and second husband Robert Krivda. She is survived by her daughter Annie Rafferty Stallman, husband Jon Stallman, grandchildren Robyn and Piper Stallman, and son Joey Rafferty, grandchildren Dylan, Elizabeth, Calvin and Angelina Rafferty; brother William Breeman Jr., nieces Alice Barnes and Christina Breeman, and first husband Joseph Rafferty Jr, wife Patti Rafferty.
Visitation for family and friends will be held on Friday, August 11, from 9:30 until 10:30 am, at the Queen of the Universe Church, 2443 Trenton Road, Levittown, PA. Mass will follow at 10:30. A private Celebration of Life Ceremony will be held on Saturday, August 12 from 10am until 1pm at Falls Township Park 9050 Mill Creek Road, Levittown.
