Thomas John AstaThomas John Asta died on Monday, August 20, 2018 at Chandler Hall in Newtown at the age of 69.Born in Trenton, NJ, Tom was raised in Morrisville and has most recently resided in Levittown. He was 1967 graduate of Pennsbury High School.In his younger years, Tom enjoyed drag racing at Atco raceway. He was an avid Flyers and Eagles fan.For many years, Tom worked as a bartender at the family business, Augies Tavern in Morrisville. He later moved to Puerto Rico and worked as a bartender at the San Juan Hotel. Tom truly loved the island life in Puerto Rico, especially the beach and boating.Tom is predeceased by his parents, Norma (Capotosti) and Augustine Asta.He is survived by his three sons, Thomas Feldmann, Augustine and Vito Asta and his grandchildren, Isabella and Antonio.Tom is also survived by his siblings, Diane Cullen, twin sister, Linda Pringle and John Asta.He will also be sadly missed by many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins.Relatives and friends are invited to call on Saturday, from 9:30 until 11:00 am at the James J. Dougherty Funeral Home, Inc., 2200 Trenton Road, Levittown where his funeral service will be held at 11:00 am. Interment will follow in Newtown Cemetery.In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in Tommy's name may be made to the American Cancer Society, 1626 Locust Street, Philadelphia, PA 19103.
