

Born February 13, 1945, in Philadelphia, Pa. Son of the late Samuel Hastings and Marie (Gunning) Hastings McHugh. Tom was a long time resident of Penndel & Lower Bucks County and a 1963 graduate of Neshaminy High School.
Tom knew everyone and love life and loved to laugh. He was a great friend to all. Tom was a DJ in his early years at the Thunderbird and he loved dancing with the ladies. He also loved all Philadelphia sports especially the Eagles and having a beer or ten at the clubs.
Always active, he played softball and coached. He kept up with the younger, but not more handsome guys on the teams. Tom love to fish and hunt deer and especially loved gardening. Tom also loved life with Marilyn and their beloved Chihuahua dog Daisy.
Tom liked to recap favorite weekly shows and sports with Tommy Jr. He missed his sons dearly.
Tom is predeceased by his two sons, Mark Hastings and Thomas R. Hastings Jr. His Son-in-law Bryan Waldron. His long time love Marilyn Thornton. His Brother Sam Hastings (&Marie), and his sisters Catherine (&George), Ann Powers, Marie Hammond (&Robert), and Margaret Charleton.
Tom is survived by his son Charles Hastings (Bernadith) and his loving daughter Melissa Hastings-Waldron. Tom was the extremely proud grandfather of 4, Alexandra Hastings & Ben Hastings. Tyler Waldron & Miley Waldron.
Tom is also survived by his big brother John Hastings and Kay of Levittown, Pa and his little sister Barbara Hastings of Hilo, Hawaii. He will be missed by his whole family including his BNF’s Elaine, Margaret and Betty Ann. He will be missed by his friends Chuck, Bob & Hoover and everybody from Big Jims, Paulies, Jacks, The Bensalem Club and where ever there was beer and sports.
Family and friends are invited to attend his memorial service on Saturday, March 26th at the James J. Dougherty Funeral Home, Inc., 2200 Trenton Rd., Levittown followed by interment at Our Lady of Grace Cemetery.
