
Thomas J. Stafford Thomas J. Stafford, of Washington Crossing, died on Tuesday, November 16, 2010 peacefully at his home with his family at his side. He was 87. Born in Philadelphia, Mr. Stafford was an original Levittown homeowner for 50 years before moving to Washington Crossing 7 years ago. He was employed with S.K.F. Industries in Philadelphia for 30 years until retiring in 1980. Mr. Stafford was a Navy veteran of Word War II serving on the LSM 304 in the Pacific. He was a member of the American Legion Post #960. Mr. Stafford was a former member of St. Michael the Archangel parish and was currently a member of St. John the Evangelist parish. He enjoyed golfing and was an avid Phillies fan. Mr. Stafford was the beloved husband of Jacqueline (Cortese) Stafford for 58 years. He was the loving father of Jackie and her husband Stan Topolski of Key Colony Beach, FL , Thomas and his wife Eileen Stafford of Doylestown and Susan and her husband Jamie Atkins of Washington Crossing. He was the devoted grandfather of Amy and Stanley Topolski; Lauren Whittington and her husband, Larry; Dan Stafford, USMC; Erin Stafford; Katie Carnevale and her husband, Dan; and Kyle Atkins. Great grandfather of Gabriel and Sebastian Whittington and Danny Carnevale. He will also be sadly missed by his sister, Margaret Stafford of Washington Township, NJ. Family and friends are invited to attend his Funeral Mass on Wednesday, 10:00 a.m. at St. John the Evangelist Church, 752 Big Oak Road, Morrisville where the family will receive friends from 9:00 a.m. until the time of the Mass. Interment will follow in Washington Crossing National Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. John Neumann National Shrine, 1019 N. 5th St., Philadelphia, PA 19123.
