Born in Bucks County on August 21, 1961, Timothy was the son of the late Hugh and Lorraine McGinty. He was a 1979 graduate of Neshaminy Maple Point High School. He devoted his professional career to General Motors for 35 years, where he served until his retirement.
Timothy will be remembered for his larger-than-life personality, quick wit, and sense of humor. Whether he was telling a story, cracking a joke, or enjoying the company of those around him, he had a way of making an entire room laugh. He was a devoted Philadelphia sports fan who never missed an opportunity to yell, “Go Birds!”.
Timothy had a love for music, especially timeless songs from artists like Bruce Springsteen and Neil Young. Above all, he treasured time spent with his family and friends.
Timothy will be lovingly remembered by his wife, Nancy (Bryner) McGinty, his children Jenna McGinty, Matthew McGinty, and Danni (Jordan) Triola, and his siblings, William (the late Brenda) McGinty, Denise (Ronald) Reynolds, Colleen (Randy) Corradetti, and Jeffrey McGinty, and his three granddaughters.
A Celebration of Life will be held on Thursday, July 16, 2026, from 11:00 am until 1:00 Pm, followed by a funeral service, at the James J Dougherty Funeral Home, 2200 Trenton Road, Levittown, PA. Interment will follow at Resurrection Cemetery, Bensalem, PA.
