Vera D. Mahoney Vera D. Mahoney died on Sunday, February 5, 2012 at Saint Mary Medical Center, Langhorne. She was 92. Born in Girardville, she was a resident of Levittown since 1953. A graduate of Cornell University and a member of Delta Gamma Sorority, Mrs. Mahoney was the owner of Yorke Pharmacy in Levittown from 1953 until 1991. Beloved wife of the late William J., Mrs. Mahoney was the loving mother of William J. Mahoney, Jr. of Levittown and was the proud grandmother of Megan Mahoney. She will also be sadly missed by many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, Bernard and Kathryn (Buckley) Duffy, her sisters, Helen and Mary Duffy, Kay (Duffy) Kelley (John), Jeannette (Duffy) Yorke (Bob) and her brother Bernard Duffy (Janet). Family and friends are invited to call on Thursday, from 7:00 until 9:00 pm and on Friday, 8:30 until 9:30 am at the James J. Dougherty Funeral Home, Inc., 2200 Trenton Road, Levittown. Her Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Friday, 10:00 am at Queen of the Universe Church, Levittown. Interment will be private.
