One year already. 
Sigh.
I think of him often……..

Sadly, I just learned of his passing through PECO's "In Memoriam" column. Vinny and I grew up together in South Philly. We had many many good times as teenagers on 16th Street and he was my best man at my wedding. He was also godfather to our first born son. But after moving to Maryland for work at Peach Bottom it was hard to stay in touch. I will miss you my friend. Rest in peace.

Miss you Vince. We’ll always remember the joy we welcomed those Wednesday morning… Thursday mornings. If we missed you, y’all had a story to share lol pebbles getting loose. All those minutes we shared poolside, birds🤗♥️

I am sorry to hear of Mr. DeAntoniis’ passing. I was just recently made aware. Mr. DeAntoniis was a good neighbor to everyone. My fondest memory of Mr. DeAntoniis is my last day of school in third grade 1981. Mr. DeAntoniis took Vinny and I to see the movie, Raiders of the Lost Ark. I remember everything from the beautiful day outside, to riding to the movies in Mr. DeAntoniis’ blue Ford truck. Rest in peace.

Our hearts were saddened to learn about the passing of Vince aka Vinnie. He was a special man who touched many people with his warm heart and gentle sense of humor. We had the good fortune to spend lots of time with him and his family at the Phoenix swim club.
He was always there to help out around the pool or the swim team and also impressed others with his photographic memory (playing board and card games)
He will be missed by many for sure, but also remembered with a smile and a sense of gratitude.

So sorry for your loss. Vince was a great guy and longtime trusted friend for over 25 years. He will sadly be missed by me and my sons. We worked  together for many years and sometimes just hung out. We shared the same March 7th birthday and always talked then. Thank you Vince. We will miss you. Jason Travis and Jack Minger

I adored Vince!!  I met him many many years ago he worked  with Jason and took care of our pool for many many years. I look forward to the days when he would come and I took the whole morning to spend out there with him and we would talk and look at the birds and share stories about life. He was like my psychologist It was such a pleasure to know such a kind compassionate warm man. I know he enjoys a glass of wine so each year I would give him a bottle he would tell me stories when I wasn’t here my dachshund would get loose and he would take half of his lunch and chase after her we were  so blessed my husband and I that not only did Vince take care of our pool, We had such respect for how he treated our animals as well. He was a good man a good caring father husband and I considered him a friend. I’ve never enjoyed my pool as much as all those lazy days each summer he would come. 
Rest peacefully my dear friend you’d be proud of me with all the birds and the bird houses that we get to nest year around.

Here is Vince working on the CNC beehive enclosures in Dec 2021.

Vince was one of the first volunteers that I met at the CNC in September 2017. He took me under his wing and provided all kinds of guidance. I especially remember the talks we would have every Tuesday. Vince was so knowledgeable about many things. He would lend me books on World War II and then answer any questions that I had. After I stopped volunteering at CNC due to my back, I always looked forward to seeing him on the Saturday morning bird walks where he was a wealth of information.  Another fond memory I have with Vince was we drove to the CNC naturalist’s home where Vince got his scope set up to show me a nest of baby owls in a tree. I was able to use my iPhone and took photos of the owls through the scope. Again, please accept my sincerest condolences.

Sending sympathy to Vince's family and many friends this evening.  During my three plus years at Churchville Nature Center, Vince was a dedicated and enthusiastic birder, volunteer and friend. My cousin Vinny (literally) was one of the kindest funniest men I knew!  He would always shoot one liners under his breath to cause me to laugh hysterically.
Although the last time I saw Vinny was about 2 years ago at a family function, conversation was seemless picking up where we left off the last time we saw each other.  I loved his passion for birds!  You can name any species and he would recite where they migrate and other special characteristics about them!  It was truly amazing!
My deepest sympathy goes out to his sister/my cousin Emily and his children.

Mike & I saw the brown "Churchville Nature Center" signs one day- saw online there was a Saturday bird walk and Vince made us feel right at home. We hardly ever went back "ta Jersey."  True he made fun of us but he was never mean and I really always expected him to be around next Saturday. Will never really be the same without him.

He was a one of a kind human being, someone I looked forward to being with on our Saturday bird walks or our Bucks Birders trips.  I will miss him and his irascibility…….farewell to an authentic person.
