Vincent P. DeSimone

Vincent DeSimone, of Langhorne, left the life he treasured, peacefully on Tuesday, February 22, 2011 at Chandler Hall Hospice Pavilion in Newtown. He was 76 years young. Born in Philadelphia, the son of the late Giovanni and Sara (Fallocco) DeSimone, he was preceded in death by two brothers and their wives, Julio (Josephine) and Edward (Nancy) and also by his faithful companion, Golden Retriever, Gus. Vince is survived by his devoted wife Margo (Meriwether); his stepdaughters, Gina and Alaina DeMario; his step grandchildren, Giovanni, Laila, Dominick and Serafina DeMario; his very special sister Clara DeSimone Gibbons and her husband John, brother in law James P. Meriwether and his wife Georgia, and many nieces and nephews. He was a member of the Knights of Columbus , Cor Mariae Council #4100. The family would like to express their thanks to the medical and support staff of Oxford Valley Medical Practice, Fox Chase Cancer Center and especially the staff at Chandler Hall Hospice. Margo would also like to extend heartfelt thanks to family, friends, neighbors and her ETS family for their compassion and support. Family and friends are invited to call on Monday from 10:30 until 11:30 a.m. at the James J. Dougherty Funeral Home, Inc., 2200 Trenton Rd., Levittown. His funeral mass will be celebrated on Monday, 12:00 p.m. at Queen of the Universe Church followed by Rite of Committal in Our Lady of Grace Cemetery.
