Violet "Vicky" Bowers

Violet Bowers Violet "Vicky" Bowers died on Sunday, September 14, 2014 at Chandler Hall in Newtown. She was 88. Born in Philadelphia, Mrs. Bowers has resided in Bristol Township for 55 years. She enjoyed sewing and reading, however, her greatest enjoyment was spending time with her family. Violet was an avid Philadelphia Phillies fan. Beloved wife of the late William L. Bowers, Sr., Mrs. Bowers is the loving mother of Violet, William, Jr. and his wife, Anna, Thomas and his fiancee, Kim and Dean. She was the devoted grandmother of James, Jennifer, Jack, Deanna, T.J., Destiny, Deana, Ryan, Patrick, Michael, Matthew, Melissa; proud great grandmother of Lauren, Danny, Alexia, James Jr., Cassadie, Nick, Jack Jr., Sarah, Sam and Mackenzie and great great grandmother of Lucas. Mrs. Bowers is also survived by her sisters, Phyllis and Toni. She was predeceased by her parents, Nicholas and Irene Pard and sisters, Marilyn, Marie and Lillian. Family and friends are invited to call on Saturday, from 2:00 until 4:00 pm at the James J. Dougherty Funeral Home, Inc., 2200 Trenton Road, Levittown. Interment will be held privately.
