Virginia M. Burns Virginia M. Burns died on Tuesday, September 16, 2014 at Brunswick Assisted Living in Langhorne. She was 92. Mrs. Burns was born and raised in Sioux City, Iowa. She worked in the Defense Industry during WWII and met her husband during that time. They were married in 1945, moved to Levittown in 1953 and were among the original Levittown homeowners. They were also former parishioners of Saint Michael the Archangel Church. Mrs. Burns also worked as an Administrative Assistant with Bristol Township School District for over 20 years. After her retirement she enjoyed traveling with her husband, especially to Hawaii, Spain, Portugal, Mexico and the Caribbean. Beloved wife of the late William J. Jr., mother of the late William K. and sister of the late Kenneth Sheridan; Mrs. Burns was the loving mother of Lawrence J. (Marian) of Yardley and Steven F. (Preeya) of Ewing, NJ. She was the devoted grandmother of Melissa Sanabria (Alberto), Sharon Burns (Robert Formica), Peter Burns, Rita Burns and Ava Burns. She will also be sadly missed by her many nieces and nephews. Family and friends are invited to call on Saturday from 9 to 10 a.m. at Saint Michael the Archangel Church, 66 Levittown Parkway, Levittown, where her funeral mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. The Rite of Committal will follow in Resurrection Cemetery.
