William K. Abrego, Sr.

William Kent Abrego, Sr. William Kent Abrego, Sr. (Pop) died on Monday, October 11, 2010 at Lower Bucks Hospital, Bristol. Bill was 66 years old. Born and raised in Enid, Oklahoma and formerly of Tulsa Oklahoma, he is the son of Frances (Dickerson) Hanna of Tulsa, OK and the late Guillermo Abrego, decorated World War II hero, awarded the Purple Heart Medal of Honor. Bill attended the Oklahoma Military Academy where he graduated with an Associate Degress. Bill received his Bachelor's Degree in Chemistry from Northeastern College in Talhaqua, Oklahoma. He has been a Lower Bucks County resident for 39 years. Bill was a chemical sales representative for most of his working career. He later was employed as a general contractor for a multitude of hotels throughout Bucks County. Bill is the loving father of Meliss R. Abrego and Bob Pietrangelo, William Kent Abrego, Jr. and is wife, Virginia, both of Levittown and David R. Abrego and his wife, Ginny of Belleplain, NJ. He is the loving brother of Linda Sturman, and former husband of Sheila Knight, mother of Melissa, Ken and Dave. He is the devoted grandfather of eight grandchildren, Daniel, Jamie, Chris, Dave Jr., William III, Lacey, Jake, Payton and three great grandchildren, Kaiden and Chase, and the future baby Baxter. Caring owner of Amegus (aka Mother). He will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him "Universoully". Family and friends are invited to his Celebration of Life on Sunday, October 17, 2010, calling hour 11:00 am until 12:00 noon at the James J. Dougherty Funeral Home, Inc., 2200 Trenton Road, Levittown, PA, His Memorial Service will be held at 12:00 noon. In lieu of flowers, the family has requested that memorial contributions in his name be made to the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society, 555 E. North Lane, Conshohocken, PA 19428.
