Born in Philadelphia, PA, he was a resident of Morrisville from 1992. Bill was a US Army veteran and served during the Korean War in Alaska where he received a National Defense- Good Conduct and Bronze Star metal. He was employed as a mechanic with U.S. Steel and AmQuip and retired in 2019. After his wife Alma passed he moved to Paradise, PA with his step daughter, Robin Peifer in 2019.
Bill loved the Phillies, fishing and hunting. He belonged to Good Shepherd United Methodist Church for the past 38 years and participated with multiple events.
Predeceased by his beloved wife, Alma Houck Friz, step son, David Tomkinson and granddaughter, Katelyn Peifer, who helped care for him.
He is survived by his three sons, Jeff Friz of Richmond, VA, William and his wife, Mim Friz of Swedesboro, NJ and Scott and his wife, Kathleen Friz of Cherry Hill, NJ; his step-daughters and their spouses, Robin and Dennis Peifer of the Poconos, Judy Camponelli of Philadelphia and Kathleen Neal of Philadelphia; 12 grandchildren; and 1 niece and 1 nephew.
Family and friends may call Monday, December 2, 2024 from 10:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. at Good Shepherd United Methodist Church, 10910 Calera Road, Philadelphia, PA 19154.
Funeral Service will begin at church at 11:00 a.m..
Burial will follow in Bristol Cemetery, 704 State Road, Croydon, PA 19021.
