William J. Lowney Jr.

Loving husband of 48 years to the late Linda Lowney, loving father of William Lowney (Kim), Elizabeth Carpino (Joseph), and Vincent Varalli; predeceased by his sons Kenneth Lowney and Daniel Lowney (Maureen). Proud grandfather to Joseph and Angela Carpino, Sean and Nicholas Lowney, Christopher Lowney, RJ and Danny Gerhardt, Christina Roccograndi, Michael Varalli and Heather Tran; and great grandfather to Ava, Joey, Robert, Greyson , Quinn , Elowyn, Avalon and Mason. He was predeceased by his sister Lorraine Lowney and brother Andrew Lowney. He was the dear brother of George Lowney and cherished uncle to many nieces and nephews, all of whom will miss him dearly.

He was a great outdoorsman and loved spending time at his mountain house with his family and friends.

Bill proudly served in the U.S.Navy on board the U.S.S. Mississinewa. After the Navy Bill joined the family business, Grip Flex in Northeast Philadelphia.

In 1970 he, along with his wife Linda, established Town and Country Pet Care Center. He was an active gold member of the American Boarding Kennel Association and International Pet and Animal Transportation Association.

A memorial to celebrate his life will be held from 10:00 am to 11:30 am, Sunday, March 7th, 2021 at the James J. Dougherty Funeral Home, Inc., 2200 Trenton Road, Levittown, PA.  Interment will be private.
