

William J. Vogt Sr. William J. Vogt, Sr., of Levittown died on Thursday, July 8, 2010 at St. Mary Medical Center. He was 79. Born and raised in the Port Richmond section of Philadelphia, Mr. Vogt has been a Middletown Township resident for nearly 51 years. He was employed with Thomas & Betts for 25 years until retiring and was also the private franchise owner and operator of Service Master of Lower Bucks County. He was most recently employed with Tri County Security for several years until his recent hospital stay. Mr. Vogt was a member of Queen of the Universe Church where he was an Extraordinary Minister of Holy Communion and served as an Usher. He was an Air Force veteran of Korea. Mr. Vogt enjoyed his walks through Core Creek Park. He was avid Philadelphia sports fan. He had the most enjoyment while spending time with his family and friends and will be lovingly remembered as a man who always focused on the positive things in other people. Mr. Vogt was the beloved husband of Mary C. (Dunn) for 55 years. He was the loving father of William J. Vogt Jr. of Philadelphia, Nancy Vogt of Morrisville, Terence and his wife Lucy Vogt of Mount Laurel, NJ, Michelle Vogt of Philadelphia and Timothy and his wife Apryl Vogt of Stowe, PA. He was the devoted grandfather of Christina and Benjamin Vogt and will be sadly missed by his sister Barbara Galen of Singer Island, FL, along with many nieces and nephews. Family and friends may call on Saturday, July 17th from 9:00 until 10:30 a.m. at the James J. Dougherty Funeral Home, Inc., 2200 Trenton Rd., Levittown followed by his funeral mass at 11:00 a.m. at Queen of the Universe Church. Interment will be held privately in Washington Crossing National Cemetery. The family has requested that memorial contributions in Mr. Vogt's name may be made to Queen of the Universe Church, 2443 Trenton Road, Levittown, PA 19056.
