

William R. Wunder of Levittown died on Wednesday, May 13, 2015 at St. Mary Medical Center. He was 88. Born in Philadelphia and raised in Fox Chase, Mr. Wunder was an original Levittown homeowner and was the first resident on his street in Falls Township. Mr. Wunder honorably served his country in the U.S. Army during World War II. He was a member of Calvary Baptist Church. Mr. Wunder worked for Bond Bread for 35 years until its closing. He was the former owner and operator of the original Bill's Window Cleaning Service in Levittown and also worked as a machinist with France Compressor Products in Newtown until retiring. He loved going to the Jersey shore and fishing on the beach, and was an avid Eagles football fan. Mr. Wunder was the husband of the late Trudi Wunder. He was the loving father of Sharon A. Snyder (Russ) of Levittown, William W. Wunder (Shirley) of Feasterville, Bob Wunder (Trish) of Langhorne and Brian J. Wunder of Levittown. He was the devoted grandfather of 14 and great grandfather of 5. Son of the late Albert and Catherine Wunder, he is survived by his sister Lorraine Bausch (Walter) of Yardley and many nieces, nephews and extended family members. Family and friends are invited to call on Monday from 8:30 until 10 a.m. at the James J. Dougherty Funeral Home, Inc., 2200 Trenton Rd., Levittown where his funeral service will be held at 10 a.m. Interment will follow at Hillside Cemetery.
