

AUBURN- Andrew Dana Campbell, 19, of Auburn died peacefully at his home on Saturday January 10, 2009. He was born in Lewiston on April 11, 1989 the younger son of Jeff and Tammy (Sawyer) Campbell. He attended Temple Shalom Preschool, Auburn Middle School and Edward Little High School graduating in 2007. Andrew was currently in his second year as a pharmacy student at Massachusetts College of Pharmacy and Allied Health Sciences. Andrew was an accomplished athlete including hiking, dirt biking, soccer and basketball. The latest sport in his life was flag football in college. He was an avid Celtics and Bruins fan. Andrew loved to travel and enjoyed trips to Italy, Australia, the Caribbean and California. He also enjoyed overnight trips to Tumbledown Mountain with his friends, and a hike up Mt. Katahdin this past summer were particularly special trips. Andrew was loved by a wide circle of friends. He was compassionate, introspective and had a great sense of humor. Andrew's life was a precious gift to his family and friends and he will remain part of each of them forever in their memories and love. He is survived by his mother Tammy Campbell of Auburn; his father Jeff Campbell of Auburn; his brother, friend and confidant Shawn Campbell of Auburn; his paternal grandmother Priscilla Campbell of Lewiston; his aunts and uncles Bruce and Betty Campbell of Portland, Dena and Kendall Rogers of Warren and Jay Sawyer of South Thomaston; and two cousins Brian Campbell of Portland and Jen Campbell of Vermont. He was predeceased by his maternal grandparents Dana and Barbara Sawyer and paternal grandfather Richard Campbell. NOTICE Campbell- Died in Auburn Saturday January 10, 2009. Mr. Andrew D. age 19 a resident of Auburn. A celebration of Andrew's life will be held on Saturday January 17, 2009 at 1PM at the First Universalist Unitarian Church on the corner of Elm Street and Spring Street in Auburn. Burial will be held privately in the spring. In lieu of flowers donations may be made in Andrew's memory to Camp Sunshine 35 Arcadia Road Casco, Maine 04015.
