She was a hard worker and celebrated 39 years as a supervisor at Southern New England Telephone, now known as AT&T. She decided she didn’t like retirement and spent another 17 years at the accounting firm of Hooker and Holcomb. She also made jewelry and ceramics and would sell her creations by the Maine seashore to tourists. Throughout her life, she loved knitting scarves and sewing clothes.
There are many wonderful memories of her warming people’s hearts. She touched the world through her volunteer work during the summers at the reception desk at Southern Maine Medical Center and during the winters at the University of Connecticut hospital gift shop. She also enjoyed working as a poll worker during elections.

Her granddaughter misses her and says “I have fond memories of my grandma treating us at McDonald’s, taking me to my first experience at a catholic church, and mailing boxes of gifts to share her love with us. Love is in my heart and I am lucky to have known her so closely throughout life”.
