Anne A. St. Pierre 1942- 2021

Lewiston- Anne A. St. Pierre 79, of Garcelon St. Lewiston, died Thursday September 23, 2021 at Central Maine Medical Center with her loving family by her side. She was born in Portland, Maine on June 12, 1942, daughter of the late Rosario and Antoinette (Gaudet) Demers. She was educated at local schools and graduated from Edward Little HS, Class of 1961, Auburn. About one decade later, Anne earned her Associates Degree in Graphic Design at CMVTI, Auburn.

Anne married her true love, Leo R. St. Pierre on March 3, 1962, at St. Louis Church, Auburn, on a sun-filled cold day after a major snowstorm hit the area. It was an eventful weekend Ann talked about all her life.

Anne was employed for many years as a waitress at several local restaurants before working in her chosen field of graphic design at Penmor Printers (Lithographers) and Hood's Mailing and Printing, both in Lewiston.

Anne was also very active in the Prince of Peace Parish, serving as a cantor, lector and choir member, for both French and English Mass. She volunteered at St. Martin de Porres for many years as well. Anne had a huge heart. She was "Mom" to many and her home was open to all.

She loved to sing, and was known for her wonderful voice. Her love of music and the arts was a trait she passed on to and shared with her children.

She was a talented, creative and energetic person who did great work with her hands--another trait she passed on. She enjoyed gardening, painting, cooking and decorating for holidays. She took the whole family on fondly-remembered camping trips on a shoestring budget. And Anne could fix just about anything, from large home appliances and TV's to automobiles.

Anne is survived by her husband of almost 60 years, Leo R. St. Pierre, her six children and their spouses, five grandchildren and their spouses, six great grandchildren, six siblings and their spouses, and many nieces and nephews. She is predeceased by her parents and one brother.

Online condolences can be shared at www. thefortingrouplewiston.com. Visitation at Fortin, Lewiston, Thursday 9/30 from 9-11 AM, with a Mass of Christian Burial to follow at 11 am at the Basilica of Ss. Peter & Paul. Committal will be held at a later date.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial donations be made to St Martin de Porres, PO Box 7227, Lewiston ME. 04240 or to the charity of one's choice. The family also asks everyone to please share a random act of kindness in her memory.

I can honestly say that I, was one of the “many” she was a Second Mom to. I was always welcomed into her home with a hug and an offer of something to eat...how could I possibly say no. Sometimes I would go over and we would just talk, watch a show or a ball game and share memories. She was a great lady who will be missed by me and everyone she met. I loved her as though she “were” my Mom. We can have hope in this world, as we know that she is in a better place in the next. I will miss her. God Bless

I am deeply sorry to learn of Anne's passing. I met Anne many years ago and always looked forward to bumping into her. She always had a smile on her face, regardless of any tribulation she was dealing with. She took such joy in filling me in on the family news and the work in the community she was doing. She adored her family and took such enormous pride in them all. Anne had a huge and generous heart and she lives on in all the good works she did for others while she was on this Earth and in all the love she shared with friends and family. She will always be in my heart. I am blessed to have known her. Peggy Rotundo
