Armando M. Fuentes

CANTON - Armando Martinez Fuentes, Sr., known to his friends as Marty died Monday afternoon after a long struggle with cancer. He was 58. Marty was born in Texas on January 28, 1951, to Maria del Carmen Martinez Moreno and Eusbio Fuentes Sanchez. He will be dearly missed by his eleven brothers and sisters; Alvaro, Josephina, Eusbio, Isidoro, Pedro, Maria, Magdalena, Manuel, Jose, Estella, and Alejandro. His five children Celia, Ronnie, Pablo, Armando, Jr., and Antonio. He also leaves behind Elizabeth and his beloved Edith of 21 years, 2 step children, and 7 grandchildren including his newly born grandson, the apple of his eye, AJ who he held on to see. As well as many other family and friends. Marty's passions were his family whom he loved dearly, driving truck which he said regrettably took away from his family time. In his later life his home was lovingly taken care of for the past 10 years. He will be most remembered for his goofy sense of humor, picking "fights" with his children, and being lovingly stubborn. At the end, he was especially cared for by his beloved Edith, his sister in law, Miriam Fuentes and his son, Armando, Jr. FUENTES died in Canton, June 1, 2009, Mr. Armando M. Fuentes, Sr., age 58 years a resident of Canton. Funeral services honoring Armando's life will be held FRIDAY 11:00AM at the Pinette & Lynch Funeral Home with Pastor Grimaldi Martinez, presiding.
