Arthur H. Nystrom

AUBURN - Arthur H. Nystrom, Sr., 82, a resident of 440 Minot Avenue, Auburn died peacefully early Wednesday morning at Clover Manor. He was born in Brockton, MA., February 4, 1927, the son of Arthur T. and Mabel A. (Wilbur) Nystrom.Arthur started his dairy farming career in Massachusetts in 1950. He then moved to Maine in 1976 where he continued his career in Dairy farming until his retirement. Hobbies included being a locksmith as well as small engine repair. He was an avid Red Sox fan, conversations with Arthur were always about farming, carpentry, and Red Sox. He also loved Bingo and jig saw puzzles.Survivors include three sons, Michael Nystrom of New York; Stephen Nystrom of North Carolina; and Arthur Nystrom, Jr., of Massachusetts; four daughters, Janice Brown of Oklahoma, Anne Marie Nystrom of Massachusetts, Jane Karcher of Auburn; and Pamela August of Poland; three brothers, Charles Nystrom of North Carolina; Theodore Nystrom of Massachusetts, and John Nystrom of Georgia; one sister, Polly Bearse of Vermont. Also surviving are 19 grandchildren and 24 great grandchildren.He was predeceased by his wife the former Georgianna Frost and their son, James Nystrom both on October 15, 1986.The Nystrom Family would like to extend a special thank-you to Clover Manor for their care and friendship.NYSTROM died in Auburn, May 27, 2009, Mr. Arthur H.
