

LEWISTON - Barbara A. Brown, 75, a resident of Oxford died peacefully Thursday evening at Central Maine Medical Center with her family by her side. She was born in Franklin, NH., December 7, 1931, the daughter of Leon and Selina (Lepage) Blake. Barbara moved to Maine at a young age and was educated in the Fryeburg schools. She married Roy E. Brown on December 26, 1957. They both raised a family, and was a long time resident of Poland Spring before moving to Oxford. She was employed at the Sarah Frye Home for twelve years where she was a devoted employee who took pride in caring for her residents. Survivors include, one son, Christopher Brown and his wife, Carol of Poland; three daughters, Tammy Giasson and her companion, John Cedergren of Auburn; Sandra Cadwell and her husband, Timothy of Auburn; and Brenda Ouellette and her husband, Peter of Minot; two brothers, Karl; Blake of Anson; and Leon Blake and his wife, Flora of Oxford. Also surviving are 11 grandchildren, and 4 great grandchildren. She was predeceased by her husband, Roy E. Brown; one brother, Leonard Blake, and one sister, Marion "Dolly" Blake. BROWN died in Lewiston, July 5, 2007, Barbara A. Brown age 75 years a resident of Oxford. Funeral services honoring Barbara's Life will be held TUESDAY 11:00AM at the Pinette & Lynch Funeral Home with Pastor Brent Trueworthy presiding.
