

AUBURN- Barbara Susan Gunn, age 63, of Auburn Maine, passed away in her beloved home, on Sunday November 27th 2022. Barbara was born in Bangor Maine September 30th 1959. A graduate of Mexico High School, Class of 1978. Barbara completed the nursing program at St. Mary’s Nursing School in 1982 and worked as a Registered Nurse for many years at St. Mary’s.
Barbara had a zest for life. Her hobbies included crafting and gardening, which she shared with her loved ones and members of her community. Barbara’s garden was a magnificent masterpiece that brought awe and happiness to all who were able to enjoy it. Barbara was a master of crafts, a source of many fond memories for her children, grandchildren, nephews and neighborhood kids. Barbara was known for her unique Halloween costumes and enthusiasm for every celebration. Reading was also a strong passion of Barbara’s; she loved Stephen King and Dean Koontz novels. Barbara’s love spread to more than just people and hobbies. She gave a large part of her heart to her beloved animals through the years, most recently to her faithful pup, Chloe, who idolized her human and their mutual companionship.
Barbara will be deeply missed by those she left behind; she touched many lives. Barbara is survived by her daughter Erica West and her partner Anthony Facchiano; her grandchildren Parker Bowie and Layla Facchiano; her son Adam West and his wife Renee Barriault-West; her sister Susan Mailman and her husband Darren; her nephew Gary Johnson, his wife Bridget and their children Knox and Cade; her nephew Garrett Johnson and wife Kayla. Barbara also had many special friends who brought so much joy to her life, who will deeply miss her; Andrea Ennis, Cindy Barlow, Deb Stebbins, Diane Levesque, and Kevin Mckenna.
Per Barbara’s wishes there will be no funeral services, however there will be a Celebration of Life, announced at a later date.
