Barbara G. Howe

She was born in Lewiston, December 28, 1936 the daughter of Edward G. and Myra Louise (Ross) Gould.

She attended local schools, and following her education started a family. She was active in the Lewiston Auburn Community Little Theater where she enjoyed acting, musicals, and was active in the Red Stocking Review, as well as a member of both St. Mary’s and Central Maine Medical Center Women’s Hospital Associations, AARP, Lewiston Senior Citizens, and a former member of East Auburn Baptist Church She was also a singer in the Androscoggin Chorale. She also was an active volunteer in transporting the elderly and disabled. She was a former treasurer of the Pine Street Social Center. She always helped those that couldn’t help themselves.

Survivors include four daughters, Diane Louise Scalia, Suzanne Pinette, and Heidi Young all of Farmingdale, and Michelle K. Gardner of Gray.; one sister, Peg Belkenney of Auburn, and also surviving are eight grandchildren, and sixteen great grandchildren.

HOWE passed away in Auburn, April 29, 2018, Mrs. Barbara G. Howe age 81 years of Auburn.

Funeral services honoring Barbara’s life will be held 11:00AM Friday May 4th at the funeral home.

Burial will be held later at Mt. Auburn Cemetery.
