Beatrice was born on April 21, 1925 to Joseph and Marie Gendron. In 1945 she married Harold Guimond, and together they made a home and raised eight children. Beatrice enjoyed camping with her family, and throughout her working years she was a nurses aide. After Harold's passing in 2002, she became a "snowbird" - spending her winters in Florida and her summers in Maine. Wherever she was, she was surrounded by family and especially enjoyed getting together twice a week with her friends to play cards. Beatrice was an avid reader and was known to visit the Lewiston Library every week. She was the beloved matriarch of five generations and will be remembered as a loving mother, grandmother, great and great - great grandmother to many.
Beatrice's love, strength, support and quick wit, as well as her unwavering faith in God, are an inspiration to us all. Her longevity was a gift to those who knew her and we are forever grateful for all the years we were fortunate enough to spend with her.
Beatrice is survived by her son Harold and his wife Denise, son Adrian and his wife Diane, daughter Linda and her husband Dave, daughter Susan, son Gerard and his wife Brenda, and daughter Denise and her partner Gary. She is also survived by twenty - three grandchildren, many great grandchildren and many great- great grandchildren.
She is predeceased by her parents, her husband Harold, son Normand and daughter Diane, granddaughter Katina and grandson Jeffrey. As the oldest sibling of the family, in her true selfless nature, Beatrice waited until all of her siblings passed on before her. She now joins brothers Del, Bert, Arthur, Maurice, Claude, George and sisters Blanche and Irene, in heaven to be together again.
In lieu of flowers, the family invites you to make donations in Beatrice's memory to a charity organization of your choosing.
The family would also like to thank the staff at St. Mary's who have taken great care of "Mrs. Bea" over the years, as well as D'Youville Pavilion for the care given to her in her last week of life.
