Auburn - Beatrice T. Lavertu, 91, formerly of 625 College Street, Lewiston, died Tuesday at the Sarah Frye Home where she resided for the past 12 years. Born in Lewiston, the eldest daughter of the late Eddie E. and Ida Cote Levesque she was married to John M. Lavertu who died October 4th, 1977. Mrs. Lavertu was a member of the Prince of Peace, SS. Peter & Paul Parish and a former member of St. Joseph's Parish, Lewiston, Maine. She was educated in Lewiston schools and was a member of the Lewiston Senior Citizens. Mom will be remembered for always having her hair just so, She loved jewelry and loved being pampered and getting lots of attention. She enjoyed dancing and loved raspberries.
Beatrice is survived by her daughters AnnaRose Gosselin and husband Lucien of Lewiston, Susan Gravel and husband Robert of Greene, Gloria Lavertu of Bridgton, her sons William Lavertu and wife Andrea of Turner, George Lavertu of Greene, her sister Rejane Lemieux of Lewiston, and her brother-in-law Gene Guidotti of Poland and Fort Myers, Florida. Eight grandchildren Luke Allen Gosselin & wife Ann of Northfield, Laurie-Anna Gosselin & fiancé Brian Savard of Lewiston, Bobbie Sue Gravel & fiancé Robert Merrill of Greene, Christie Lynn Gravel & fiancé Robert Keenan of Greene, Jessica Rodrigue of Minot, Jeremy Lavertu & wife Kelly Beth of Auburn, John Lavertu & Kylie of Turner, and Ryan Lavertu of Greene. 11 great-grandchildren Paige Gosselin of Northfield, Cole & Julia Savard of Lewiston, Alex & Mathew Brown of Greene, Charlotte Jane Brooke of Greene, Tucker Merrill of Greene, Ashley Sue & Christian Keenan of Greene, Leland Rodrigue of Minot, Aspen & Annabelle Lavertu of Auburn, and 1 great-great-grandson, Reid Lavertu of Turner. She was predeceased by a great-granddaughter Abigail Rodrigue.

Visitation Fortin / Lewiston Thursday August 9th from 4 to 8 pm. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Friday August 10th 11:00am at The Basilica of Ss. Peter & Paul (lower chapel). Committal St. Peter's Cemetery Mausoleum.
