Bertha R. Chasse-Jacqmin

She was born in Hamlin Plantation on February 9, 1930 the daughter of the late Adolphe and Cecile (Cyr) Plourde. Bertha was educated in Lewiston Schools, graduating from Lewiston High School Class of 1948.

In 1950 she married her first husband Edward Chasse and together had six children.

Her main occupation was at St. Mary’s Hospital as Head of Data Processing and later as Director of Information Services and also worked for Auburn Housing Authority and Central Maine Community College.

She was a member of various clubs and organizations including; Altrusa, Rotary, Women’s Literary Union, Oasis and Women’s Aglow.

In 2005 Bertha married her current husband Raymond Jacqmin who survives her.

After her retirement Bertha became involved in full time ministry and was ordained by International Ministerial Fellowship in the State of Washington.

She was involved with many churches during her ministry and at the time of her passing was a member of the Christ Temple C.O.G.I.C.

She is survived by her husband Raymond of Auburn, four sons: Mark Chasse and his wife Donna of Auburn, Stephen Chasse and his wife Elizabeth of New Mexico, E. David Chasse and his wife Kelly of Readfield and John Chasse and his wife Leisa of Florida, two daughters; Nanette Richard and her husband Donald of Texas and Bonita Rouhani and her husband Siamak of Colorado, one brother Bertrand Plourde of Massachusetts, twenty one grandchildren and thirty nine great grandchildren.

Besides her parents Bertha was predeceased by two brothers Joel and Harvey Plourde.
