

LEWISTON – Carl F. Rowe, Sr., 76, a resident of Auburn died early Sunday morning with his family by his side at Central Maine Medical Center following a long illness. He was born in Lewiston, July 24, 1933, the son of Arnold Carlton and Madeline (Kimball) Rowe. He attended Auburn schools and was a 1954 graduate of Edward Little High School. Mr. Rowe began his painting career with his grandfather, Francis Kimball who he succeeded. Carl went on to become a very well known talent as a painter, and was most proud of his work until he retired in 1972. Survivors include one son, Carl F. Rowe, Jr., and his wife, Deanna of Auburn, one daughter, Eileen Hale and her husband, Allan of Center Harbor, NH.; one brother, Sheldon Rowe and his wife, Patricia of Windsor; three grandchildren, Dillon Rowe, Carter Hale, and Benjamin Ames. He is also survived by his former wife, Elaine Garnett of Lisbon. ROWE died in Lewiston, February 21, 2010, Mr. Carl F. Rowe, Sr., age 76 years a resident of Lewiston. Graveside committal prayers will be held later in the Spring at Gracelawn Memorial Park with the date and time to be announced.
