Cecile P. Gagnon

LEWISTON- Cecile P. Gagnon, 91, of 102 Campus Avenue, Lewiston died Monday evening January 26, 2009 at D'Youville Pavilion following a long illness. She was born in Sherbrooke, P.Q. Canada on May 4, 1917 the daughter of Aime and Amanda (Labonte) Perron and had been a resident of this community for most of her life. She was employed in the local textile industry for many years until her retirement in 1951. She was married to Oram Gagnon in October of 1947 and he died on April 21, 1986. Cecile enjoyed knitting, crocheting, gardening and loved her cats. She was a member of the Golden Age Club of Sacred Heart Parish, Horizon 55, Covenant 50 and Sacred Heart Church. She is survived by one son James Gagnon and his wife Diana of Lewiston; two sisters Dorothy Perron of Lewiston and Jeannine Guay of Washington state; two grandchildren Laura Gagnon of Lewiston and Joshua Gagnon of California; and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by two sisters Gilberte Perron and Madeleine Hebert; and two brothers Roland and Alcide Perron. NOTICE Gagnon- Died in Lewiston Monday January 26, 2009. Mrs. Cecile P. age 91 a resident of Lewiston. A Funeral Mass honoring Cecile's life will be celebrated on Thursday at 11AM at Sacred Heart Church.
