She was educated in local schools, St. Mary's Parochial, Lewiston High School and Mid State College.
Claudette married Orean Champagne in July 1979. Claudette had three children from a previous marriage and together they became a family with eight children.
She retired from Hahnel Bros Co. in February 2001. Claudette and her husband enjoyed traveling the country, cruising, playing cards and going to the casino.
She is survived by a son, Richard J. King Jr., daughter, Christina (Rick) Eccles, stepchildren, Janine Pelchat, Anne (Robert) Leveque, Rene (Janine) Champagne, Paul Champagne, daughter-in-law, Carleen Champagne, and son-in-law, Steve Theberge. Brother, Donald Beauchesne, as well as 16 grandchildren, 23 great-grandchildren, and 1 great-great-grandchild.
She was predeceased by her husband, Orean J. Champagne; daughter, Kathy Theberge; stepson, Mark Champagne; sister, Lorraine; brothers, Maurice and Paul Beauchesne, her parents, step grandchildren, Kara Law, and Christopher Harkins.
Claudette’s Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday, August 14 at 11:00AM at Holy Family Church, 607 Sabattus Street, Lewiston. A committal will follow immediately after Mass at St. Peter Cemetery, Deer Road, Lewiston. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited.
