

AUBURN - Daniel F. Bernier, 58, a resident of Snow Avenue Auburn died unexpectedly at his residence early Sunday morning, He was born in Lewiston, June 24, 1955 the son of Leo and Juliette (Lawrence) Bernier. Dan attended local schools and was a 1973 graduate of Lewiston High School. He was happily employed with the Sherwin Williams Paint Store in Lewiston. He was an avid outdoorsman who enjoyed hunting and fishing with his brothers and his nephews. Dan was most proud of his family and especially his new grandson Teo. Dan will be best remembered for his great smile and fierce personal loyalty to his family, friends, and the Boston Red Sox. Survivors include his Mother, Juliette Bernier of Lewiston, his wife the former Doris Lepitre of Auburn whom he married on September 7, 1979; two daughters, Chantal Bernier and Michelle Dunham and husband, Kyle and grandson Teo all of Auburn; two brothers, David Bernier and wife Rachel of Sabattus, and Leo Bernier and wife Diane of Minot; two sisters Helene Bernier and John Sprague, and Denise Chaput all of Lewiston. Also surviving are several nieces and nephews. Besides his father Leo, he was predeceased by his Godson, Brian LaFrance and his nephew, Mark Bernier.
