Debra (Debbie) Morin Ouellette, 56, of Poland, passed away on May 28, 2025, after a brave eight-year battle with ovarian cancer. Born on December 17, 1968, in Lewiston, to Robert and Wendy Morin, she was the only girl and the youngest of four. As a child, Debbie spent many carefree days on No Name Pond with her family and their dog, swimming, floating on innertubes, catching perch and frogs, picking berries along the trails, waterskiing on calm summer nights, snowmobiling, playing pond hockey and sledding down LeMontagnard Hill. Debbie cherished those days and kept the memories near to her heart. After graduating from Lewiston High School in 1987, she attended Salve Regina University and the University of Maine, before pursuing her passions in interior design and real estate.
Debbie began her career designing bedspreads for Bates Manufacturing and then moved on to designing home and airplane interiors. Being one to always keep busy, Debbie would also substitute teach and serve tables at local restaurants.
One night while working at The Black Watch Restaurant, Debbie met the love of her life, Daniel (Dan) Ouellette. At that time, Dan had three children, and Debbie quickly grew to love them all. The two married on September 14, 2002, and together, they welcomed their daughter Olivia who completed their family. Debbie cherished the family they had formed and the time she and Dan spent raising their family on Middle Rang Pond. Boat rides, bon fires, get-togethers with family and friends, and quiet mornings watching the sun glisten on the water were times that Debbie relished.
Throughout their time together, Dan and Deb worked side by side as best friends and business partners. They owned and operated multiple businesses and enjoyed the excitement of real estate and property management. In addition to their business ventures, their life was filled with travel and the joy of being surrounded by their children, grandchildren, little shadow dog Teddy, and grand doggie Daisy.
When not working, Debbie devoted herself to volunteer work, showing dedication to the many foundations and organizations she was a part of. She gave her time and heart to support her community. She loved watching her children’s sporting events, and competing alongside Olivia, showing her fierce competitive spirit.
Enthusiastic about running and cycling, Debbie proudly completed an Ironman triathlon after her diagnosis with cancer. She loved to compete, and completed many marathons, including the Boston, Sugarloaf, and Mount Desert Island marathons, as well as numerous triathlons, and other running and cycling events. She golfed (making a hole-in-one on the island 5th green at Fox Ridge), skied, and cherished her time at the family camp in Eustis, where she enjoyed snowmobiling with family and friends. Debbie also treasured her time spent at her home in Florida. There, Debbie made many lasting memories with her family and dear friends. She also found solace and comfort, worshiping at her beloved Morningside Church.
Debbie lived her life with grace and strength. As a devout Christian, family and friendship were the center of her life. She was kindhearted and possessed the unique ability of leaving everyone she met feeling better.
Debbie is survived by her husband Dan Ouellette, daughters Danielle and her husband Eric Brothers of Manchester, NH, Nicole and her husband Ethan Stevens of Waterville, son Steven and fiancée Miranda Wood of Waterboro, Olivia Ouellette and fiancé Owen McCarthy of Greene, and grandchildren Camden, Evelyn, Karsen and Khenley.
She will be lovingly remembered by her brothers Michael and wife Pam of Lewiston, Gary and wife Monique of Lewiston, her twin Danny and wife Amy of Leicester, NY, sisters-in-law Joyce Campbell of Auburn and Linda Holden of Fort Pierce, FL, along with numerous nieces, nephews, uncles, and aunts.
Debbie was predeceased by her parents; her Uncle Leo and Aunt Venise Morin, Uncle Kenneth Regler, Aunt Carmen Morin, aunts Jane and Kathleen Regler, nephew Seth Morin, mother and father-in-law Norman and Louise Ouellette, and brother-in-law Paul Ouellette.
The family wishes to extend heartfelt thanks to the staff at the Hospice House, Andwell Health Partners, MMC Gynecology Oncology, Dr. Serge Jurasunas of Portugal, Dr. Zach Mazone of Bath and the many friends and family who provided care and support.
