Donald R. Lebrun

Auburn - Donald R. Lebrun,85, of Harold St. Lewiston died Saturday February 21st at the Hospice House with his family by his side. Born in Lewiston December 10, 1929 a son of John & Gracia Lavoie Lebrun he was educated in Lewiston schools graduating from Lewiston High School in the Class of 1950.

He served in the U. S. Army from 1950 - 1953 and was a member of the Prince of Peace Parish at Holy Family Church. Don worked in the grocery business doing management most of his life with his last place of employment being Hannaford. Physical fitness was very important to Don, especially being outdoors. One of his specialties was decorating his home during every holiday, Christmas being his favorite. Don will be remembered for his communication and talkative nature with any and all people he encountered. His kind heart and kindred spirit to always help those around him seeking nothing in return will always be remembered. Above all he was a man of honesty and integrity, instilling the importance of family values throughout his life to his children. Most of all he loved spending quality time with his family, grandchildren, great grandchild and his wife whom he truly adored of 50 years, holding hands and countless “I love you!” exemplary of the true strength in their marriage. He is survived by his wife the former Doreen Langlais of Lewiston whom he married Oct. 31, 1964, a daughter Gail Paione and husband Eric of Lewiston, a son Mark Lebrun and his wife Wanda of Gray, grandchildren Ryan Paione, Ian, Caleb and Vanessa Lebrun, great grandson Silas Lebrun, sisters-in-law Cecile Lebrun, Lucille Dehetre, Georgette Reny, Jeannine Poulin, brother-in-law Gene Langlais, and several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his three brothers Normand, Julien and Fernand Lebrun. The family wishes to thank the many neighbors that assisted them throughout the years on Harold St. Special thanks to Androscoggin Home Health and the entire staff at the Hospice House for their commitment, never ending love, and support to the patients and the families.
