Doris C. Beaudin, 76, of Greene, Maine, died peacefully July 11, 2020 after a brief battle with cancer. She was born in Lewison, Maine on August 5, 1943, the daughter of Roland and Florence (Filiault) Pintal. She graduated from Lewiston High School class of 1961 and then went on to graduate from Gorham State Teacher’s College in 1965 with her degree in Education. She taught her entire career in the Lewiston public school system, spending many years teaching third grade at Montello Elementary School. She earned her Master’s Degree in Education in 2001. After retiring from teaching, she often volunteered in her grandchildren’s classrooms at Greene Central School.

She married Robert Beaudin on June 24, 1967. During nearly 35 years of marriage, they spent many summers camping with their children at Kokatosi Campground and travelling on family vacations before Robert died unexpectedly in 2001. She later connected with Roland Hachey, with whom she had taught at St. Patrick School and Jordan Elementary School, and they became companions. They travelled internationally and also could be found enjoying the slot machines at several New England casinos. Her true joy was the time she spent with her grandchildren. She spent many summer days with them, playing games, bringing them to the tennis lessons, and going to amusement parks, museums, and the beach. She attended all of her grandchildren’s activities, from hockey, softball, swimming, soccer, and tennis to plays, music concerts, and dance recitals. Her grandchildren adored their perfect Memere.

She is survived by her companion Roland Hachey, her daughter Nicole Deblois and her husband Joseph, her son Scott Beaudin and his wife Darcie, her stepson Dean Beaudin and his significant other Elaine Brown, her stepson Steve Beaudin and his significant other Tina Brushwein, and her grandchildren Sadie Rouillard and her husband Steven, Eliza Beaudin, Alec Beaudin, Samantha Deblois, R.J. Deblois, Dana Beaudin, and Kara Beaudin. Visitation will be held at The Fortin Group, 70 Horton Street, Lewiston, Maine on July 20 from 5pm to 8pm.

So sorry to hear of the passing of your beloved Memere / Mom. I was lucky enough to have Doris as a volunteer in my classroom when I taught RJ. She was a tremendous help! Doris loved her family very very much and I enjoyed hearing stories of her theme park adventures! May all the beautiful memories live on in your hearts. Keeping you all in my thoughts and prayers at this difficult time.
Sincerely,
Mrs. Kyajohnian

I was only able to meet Mrs. Beaudin once, and in that one meeting I could tell she was a wonderful woman. I always heard good things about her from her family. Whether she was driving to recitals and games, taking her grandchildren to an amusement park, or teaching she was always a positive role model. I was lucky to meet her, and may she rest in peace.

Wow! So sad what a wonderful lady. Mrs Beaudoin was my 3rd grade teacher she taught me how to multiply and was one of my favorite teachers. Rest In Peace.

I spoke almost daily with Doris at Greene Central. She often volunteered or picked up her grandchildren. She was so happy taking them to their after school activities. She spoke with such pride about their schooling and success. We spoke of her many trips to Connecticut and family vacations. I will miss you. Thoughts and prayers to her family.

My thoughts and prayers are with Doris's family. I worked alongside Doris at Montello for many years. We later caught up at her grandkids' soccer games. She was a wonderful lady.

Doris was the most giving, caring, wonderful lady I have had the privilege of knowing. She volunteered in the 6th grade classroom at Greene Central when Sam, her granddaughter, was a student there but she never left. Each year she came in almost every day to help children with their math or any other projects we were working on. She was an excellent teacher and I felt we all gained so much just being with her. I absolutely love Doris and wish I had told her that more often. Very sincere condolences to her special friend and her family; she talked about you all so often. She loved her family and was proud of you all.

Doris,
You were the best Memere that anyone could ask for. You never missed a graduation. dance recital, school event and more. You made lasting memories of first trips to Disney, Storyland, Santa’s Village, amusement parks and anywhere your grandkids wanted to go. My girls ate chocolate ice cream in your bed, lived for Christmas bags and lasagna and let’s not forget tennis lessons.
Thank you for being the best Memere possible.

Doris, you will be missed by many! Your kind words when we lost Troy were so very comforting to the family. Now, I leave this to your beloved ones....Your Mom, grandmother, was a gift to everyone who knew her. Hold the image of her smiling down on you forever, and your grief will surely subside, and her memory will bring you much joy! God bless!
