She was born in Lewiston April 22, 1929 the daughter of Wilfrid and Emma (Bilodeau) Hamel.
Doris was close to her sisters who she loved very much. She will be sadly missed by all who knew her.
Survivors include one son, Laurent R. Richard of Litchfield, one daughter Anita Dungelman and husband Frank of Connecticut, one sister Lorraine Poulin and husband Larry of Augusta.
Besides her parents, she was predeceased by a sister, Fern and a brother, Adrien Hamel.
Doris’s family would like to thank The Androscoggin Hospice House gor the wonderful care they extended to Doris during her stay.
A Mass of Christian Burial honoring Doris’s life will be celebrated 10:00AM TUESDAY September 24th at Our Lady of the Rosary Church in Sabattus. Graveside committal prayers will immediately follow at Litchfield Plains Cemetery, Litchfield.
Family and friends are invited to visit Monday September 23rd from 2-4 & 7-9PM at the PINETTE DILLINGHAM & LYNCH FUNERAL HOME 305 Alfred Plourde Parkway, Lewiston.
