Edward "Benny" R. Bennett

1951-2022

Edward “Benny” Bennett, 70 of Sabattus, passed away at his home on April 14th 2022. He was born in York, Maine on November 11, 1951.

He was a member of many local organizations, Ossipee Mountain ATV Club, Lifetime member of AM Vets, as well as Member of the Lewiston 20M club. Benny also started “Benny’s Breakfast” at the Portsmouth Naval Shipyard to benefit the “Christmas Caravan” program.

Edward” Benny” loved working in the yard and caring for his chickens. He enjoyed playing pool and watching people play. He spoke fondly of the ATV trails and taught classes on ATV safety,

Edward is survived by his loving wife Regina (Dinsmore) Bennett. Children Karen (Bennett) McNulty and her husband Thomas. Sons Justin Bennett and wife Laura, Kevin Bennet and Dawn Mann. Surviving step-sons Ryan Jordan, Keith Dinsmore and Shawn Jordan. Grandchildren Samantha Hopple and Fiancé Sara Champagne, Abigail Hopple and Fiancé Eric Boucher. Jared Bennett, Damian Bennett, Gaige Bennett, Ian Bennett and Aiden Bennett; sisters Charlene Kennan and husband John, Sister Mona DeMeritt and an Aunt Claire.

Visitation will be 5-7 pm Monday, April 25 at The Fortin Group, 70 Horton Street, Lewiston.

A graveside service will be held 1 pm Tuesday, April 26th at the Southern Maine Veterans Cemetery, 83 Stanley Rd, Springvale, ME.
