Edward A. Collins

Sabattus Maine- Edward Collins, 92 of Sabattus died Tuesday October 17, 2023 at The Hyder Hospice House surrounded by his family. He was born in St. Agatha Maine on November 4, 1930 the son of Albert and Leda Collins. He resided in Maine all of his life except the last year where he resided in Dover NH to be closer to family that could help take care of him.

Edward had owned several companies over the years. He owned a restaurant that was famous for his blueberry muffins and a tire company. He was a hard working man that loved his family and friends. He loved fishing and gardening with his wife. He had a love for woodworking as well. Edward aka as Eddie or Pepere had a smile that could light up a room. He told it how he saw it and had a good sense of humor. He lived a wonderful long life.

Members or his family include his wife Pauline (Morrisette) Collins of Sabattus Maine; his son James Collins and wife Irene of Rollinsford NH; son Normand Collins and wife Susan of Buckfield Maine ; son Paul LePage and wife Ann of Ormon Beach Florida ; step daughter Deb (Morrisette) Delano and husband Devon of Sabattus Maine; step son Bob Morrisette and wife Sarah of Auburn Maine and a daughter in law Irene Gagne and her husband Glenn of Lewiston Maine. Brother in law Don Maillette and his wife.

Many Grandchildren, great grandchildren, 2 great great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

He was predeceased by his parents Albert and Leda Collins; all his siblings Normand, Rita and Doris; his first wife and mother of his children Pauline (Maillette) Collins.

Funeral services will be held on Friday October 27th at 1:00pm at the Pinette Dillingham & Lynch Funeral Home 305 Alfred Plourde Parkway Lewiston, Maine 04240. Family and friends are invited to visit on Friday Oct. 27th from 11:00AM until time of service. Burial to follow at St. Peter’s Cemetery.
