Elaine E. Nash

Born in Farmington on June 8, 1935, she was a daughter of Edwin and Ernestine (Darling) Wright and stepdaughter of Isobel (True) Wright. She worked at Goodwill Industries in Auburn and in Lewiston for many years. She was a member of the Sixth Street Congregational Church in Auburn.

Elaine enjoyed road trips, Sunday church services and periodic get-togethers with her Dixfield, High School classmates (class of 1953). She had the gift of gab and was quick to smile and chat with friends and strangers alike, even as her health declined. Most of all, Elaine loved time spent with family and friends.

She is survived by her daughters Joanne Dunbar, of New York, Cheryl Evans and her husband Paul of Massachusetts, and Dedra Nash of Maine; two sisters, Margaret Richardson and Rachel Wright, both of Vermont; her dear friends Gerry & Linda Duguay of Maine; five grandchildren and one great-granddaughter; several loving cousins, nieces, nephews and many lovely friends.

Elaine was preceded in death by her daughter, Lynn Elaine; her son, Daniel Quinlan and her sister, Karen Merriman.

A graveside memorial service will be held on Saturday, November 12th, at 1:00 PM, at Lake View Cemetery, in Wilton Maine, where Elaine will be laid to rest along with her son, Daniel. Friends of both are welcomed to attend the service.

The family wishes to extend their gratitude to all of the angel caregivers at Clover Manor, Auburn, where Elaine resided since April. Also to the staff and caregivers at Schooner Estates, Auburn, where Elaine enjoyed 2+ years as a resident, previous to her stay at Clover Manor.
