

AUBURN—Elsie B. Rush,94, of Lewiston, passed away peacefully, on Tuesday July 7 at Clover Health Care in Auburn. She was born in Lewiston on October 12, 1920 a daughter of the late Marianna Leclair and Ludger Duchette. She attended Lewiston Schools. She was married and predeceased by Lucien O. Morin, Raymond Dubuc, and Richard M. Rush. Elsie lived a full and wonderful life. She was a loving wife and mother who spent many years dedicated to caring and providing for her family. She loved to cook and entertain and always made everyone feel welcomed into her home. She enjoyed sewing, home projects and loved playing cards. She spent winters in Florida for over 30 years and traveled to many other places. She was a kind woman, greatly loved by all who knew her, and will sadly be missed. She is survived by 6 children; Pauline Chasse of Florida, Yvette Roux of Auburn, Claudette King of Greene, Diane Grimmel of Greene, Lorrie A. Dennis of Greene and Richard Morin of Portland. She also leaves behind 3 sisters, Irene Boilard of Lewiston, Theresa Cote of Lewiston, and Shirley Mailloux of Leeds. Elsie was blessed with 16 grandchildren, 30 great-grandchildren and 5 great-great grandchildren. She was predeceased by her daughter Jeanne Teacutter. 8 sisters and 1 brother. Visiting hours will be held on Friday July 10 at the funeral home from 2-4pm and 6-8pm. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at the Basilica of Ss. Peter & Paul (upper church) on Saturday July 11 at 11am followed by committal prayers at St. Peter’s Cemetery in Lewiston.
