Evelina Pouzol

She was born in Lewiston on May 21, 1932, a daughter to Antonio and Marie Anna (Marcoux) Celani.

Evelina was no stranger to hard work and held many jobs at the same time to support her seven children.

When she wasn’t working or caring for her family, Evelina loved spending time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren, as well as doing jigsaw puzzles, playing Bingo, spending time on Facebook and tending to her beautiful flower gardens.

Evelina is predeceased by her parents, the love of her life Frank Cayer, her siblings Louisa Gendron, Marietta Wyman, Ramona Rock, Antonio Celani Jr., as well as her grandson Shane Cheetham and her three sons-in-law Luc Caron, Charles Morin and Doug Tyler. Lastly, she is predeceased by Barron, her beloved Dachshund.

She leaves behind her children Richard (Yvette) Pouzol, Marianne Tyler, Denise Caron, Daniel (Fay) Pouzol, Joanne (Scott) Caron, Gary Pouzol and partner Jeff Hadley, as well as Lisa (Paul) Girouard. She is also survived by her sister Stella Truchon, 24 grandchildren, many great grandchildren and five great great grandchildren as well as many nieces and nephews.

The family would like to extend a special thank you to Andwell Hospice for the incredible care they gave to Evelina in her final days.

A Visitation for Evelina will be held on Thursday, July 24 from 10AM to 12PM at The Fortin & Pinette Group 305 Alfred A Plourde Parkway Lewiston, Maine. A Liturgy of the Word will take place following the Visitation, with Committal Prayers at St. Peter’s Cemetery in Lewiston.
