Gaston M. Marquis

Gus was born in St. Gideon, P.Q., July 24, 1952 the son of Ovilda and Marie-Laure (Giroux) Marquis.

He and his family moved from Canada to Lewiston in 1955. He attended Holy Cross Elementary School and was a 1971 graduate of Lewiston High School.

Gus was employed at Jim’s Auto Sales. There he established a lifelong friendship with owner, Jim Pittman.

Gus was known for his loyalty, generosity, and his love of family. He enjoyed fishing, garage sales, and spending time with his grandchildren. He was predeceased by his parents.

He is survived by his daughter, Melissa Hartford and husband, Todd of Leeds and their two children Alana and Ethan; two brothers, Reggie Marquis and wife Rita of Randolph, and Gaetan Marquis and wife Marie of Lewiston; two sisters Carol Swearingen and husband, Mark of Wales and Linda Hobart and husband, Dee of West Forks.

Gus will be sadly missed by all who knew him.

MARQUIS died in Lewiston, September 1, 2014, Mr. Gaston M. Marquis age 62 years a resident o Lewiston.

Funeral service honoring Gaston’s life will be held FRIDAY September 5th 11:00AM at the funeral home.
