AUBURN—Gerard P. Hecker, 75, of Bartlett Street, Lewiston, died on Monday, Aug. 24, from heart failure. He was born in Lewiston on Feb. 27, 1940, a son of the late Herbert and Denise Hecker. He was employed at Bath Iron Works for over 30 years until his retirement in 2007.
Surviving family members include his four children, Larry Hecker of Virginia, Deborah Libby of Wales, Lucien Hecker and his wife, Cheryl, of Georgia, and Kathleen Fickett of Lewiston; his brothers, Anthony and wife, Luz, of the Philippines, Ronald and Marilynn of Lewiston, and Joseph Hecker of Florida; his sisters, Rose Hinkle of Virginia and Gloria Donovan of Florida.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday, Aug. 28, at 9 a.m. at Holy Family Church, Sabattus Street, Lewiston.
