

He was born in St. Hilaire , New Brunswick April 5, 1925 the son of Jean and Imelda (Picard) Pelletier.
Gerard’s career was two fold as an owner operator of two gas stations, Pelletier Shell Station on Pine St., from 1956-1959, and Pelletier’s Flying “A” Station on Lisbon St. from 1959-1963, and the well known Gerard Auto Sales on Lisbon St., in Lewiston. His second endeavor besides automobile sales was owning his own wood clearing lot business that Central Maine Power hired him to clear trees for their new power lines and clearing job sites for new power plants. He was a long time member of Holy Cross Church in Lewiston.
Survivors include his wife of 67 years, Florence of Lewiston, three sons, Gerard Pelletier, Jr., of Auburn, Gary Pelletier and wife Joline of Wales, and John Pelletier and wife Heidi of Greene. One daughter, Geraldine Poulin and husband, Paul of Auburn and Florida; six sisters, Alberine Lavoie of Connecticut, Angeline Bosse and husband Rene of Lewiston, Dora Bosse of Madawaska, Noella Ouellette of Lewiston, Sister Irene Pelletier of Camelton, New Brunswick, and Joan Couturier and husband, Arsene of Connecticut. Also surviving are eight grandchildren and eight great grandchildren.
He was predeceased by two daughters, Joyce C. Croteau, and Gale Brabant, three brothers, Benoit, Roland, and Albert, one sister, Blanche.

A Mass of Christian Burial honoring Gerard’s life will be celebrated FRIDAY, October 24th, 11:00AM at Holy Cross Church. Committal prayers will follow at St. Peter’s Cemetery.
