Moe & family:

   I just learned from my mom of the recent passing of Gert. I know you both kept in touch with my parents through the years, but it has been a very long time for me. You were both wonderful people to camp with back at Bear Mountain Village in Maine around the late 70s/early 80s. I was a teen, but my memories are great of those summers. I have never forgotten Gert and her kindness to all of us. She will be deeply missed. You have my deepest sympathies,

To Moe and Family:
We have known both you and Gert for over thirty plus years.  Our children and grandchildren have grown up with, Gert, providing them leadership and entertainment as Program Director of Range Pond Campground.  She will truly be missed by our family.  We will miss all our conversations and our dear friendship we established with, Gert, over the years.  She will never be forgoten!  Rest In Peace dear friend.

She was truly a very special woman and I feel honored to have had the opportunity to have her in my childhood. She is in a very place now where she is no longer in pain and I bet that darn knee of hers is just like brand new. I can honestly say she is probably either playing Bingo or at the Casino. I still chuckle at all the times my mother would tell me how often Gert won Bingo at Rainbow Village. I also want to say THANK YOU from the bottom of my heart for allowing me to spend some time with her when she was at the Hospice House. That means the world to me!!!!

To an amazing woman who I will cherish in my heart forever. Although you are given two grandmothers by blood, you have always been my memere. At five weeks old I was blessed to be with you everyday. Growing up with you was the best memories of my life. All I wanted to do was learn to do everything just as you did. When normal kids wanted to go to do something adventurous I was content in the screen room with you, Tante Monique and the rest of the women rocking in the chairs mesmerized by how fast you could all crochet. Very quickly I was drawn to learn to speak french and crochet that I still do to this day. We all were a hand full and god bless you for your selflessness and always making sure that everyone was satisfied. As a kid I would take the little tykes van from school to camp, the most anticipated part of my day was to get out of the van to see you n pepere. Looking forward to pick cherry tomatos out of the garden with pepere and eating them as soon as I picked them. Or going inside to smell your homemade creton that was my favorite. Its hard to put together the right words to describe how much you mean to me. I love you and will miss you. Sad to let you go for you were God's gift to earth but anxious to see you in heaven.       *** The one n only "CB"

There are no words that can express what a blessing in the lives of so many you were. We will continue to love and cherish you and you will live on in the hearts of many. We may not understand why it was your time to go but we know that God has a plan for all of us. Your impact at camp for all of the children as well as adults and your friendship have meant the world to us all. I am happy to have had the opportunity and pleasure of being your friend. My deepest sympathies to your family. I worked with Gert for many years at Good Shepard and for a short time at Schooner. She kept us all in stiches with the stories that she told. She was so excited when Don got married, then when Sue and Don were expecting Scott she was over the moon.
We gave her a "Memere" shower, her reactions were priceless. She so enjoyed being a grandmother, when she was blessed a second time she said her life was complete.
Gert, I treasured the time I got to spend with you. Heaven has gained another angel

We are sorry for your lose Moe and Don. We really love Gert, she always had a smile on her face. We have some good memories of her over the years while camping. I know she loved doing her activities at Range Pond Campground.  We'll all be in the big campground in heaven one day, and Gert will meet us at the front entrance..We'll keep you guys in our thoughts !!

Gert you are such a loving woman, you were like a grandmother to all of us girls at Range Pond. Bingo, Crafts, money hunt, all of these actives where such a huge part of my childhood. You left a permanent impact on me, one that I will forever cherish. You loves us all unconditionally. My thoughts and prayers are with your family and I pray that God helps your family get through this difficult time. <3 RIP Gert <3

It is a sad day for all of our camping familie ,Gert was a big part of Range pond campground  ,As the activity director  Gert as met many many children al lot of them are now adults with kids of their own  .Just like my own children  now have kids and i do know that the loss of Gert will be extrimeley  had on the children , I myself will miss our long visits and long charts  .Gert is in a better place and that is what we have to remember , ,R.I.P.  my dear friend i will always  and for ever keep you in my heart ...
