Gilda proudly served in the United States Navy from 1952 to 1962.
She was predeceased by her parents, brothers Richard and Raymond; brothers in law Roger Burns and Richard Lavoie; a niece Rena Berube and a nephew Richard Brown.
Gilda is survived by her sisters Lilliette Brown, Pauline Burns, and Priscilla Lavoie; a brother Gerald (Liette) Berube; sister in law Pat Berube; as well as many nieces and nephews.
The family would like to thank the entire staff at Sarah Frye Home for the excellent and loving care that they gave her the last four years.
At Gilda’s request, there will be no visiting hours. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at the Immaculate Heart of Mary Sacred Heart Church in Auburn, ME on Friday February 24th at 10:00am. The burial will be private at the Maine Veterans Cemetery in Augusta.
